ZEF Energy Partners to Support EV Charging Access for Tribal Communities

Lead by a group of Tribal communities and Upper-Midwest based nonprofits, ZEF Energy and team were selected by DOE to implement on a plan to deploy approximately 120 electric vehicle chargers (both Level 2 and DCFC) across Minnesota, South Dakota, and North Dakota. The project was awarded $6.7 million from the U.S. DOE to deliver on the project goals. These goals include connecting multiple tribal communities to regional economic centers to not only support local tourism, but tribal fleet adoption, and broader regional EV charging needs across all three states. The project will kick-off in early 2022.

ZEF Energy is excited to be working with Standing Rock Indian Reservation and Native Sun Community Power Development as well as the Center for Energy and Environment and the American Lung Association of Minnesota.
